With a number of participants on Par with the Etape du Tour which is held about a couple of weeks later, the Maratona is one of the premier cycling events in Europe. The race is even broadcast live for 6 hours on Italian TV! If you've ridden the Etape du Tour or La Marmotte before, you owe it to yourself to take part in this excellent cycling venue. With 3 different distances, the race can be as difficult as you like it, the scenery is out of this world and the organization is top notch.

Its History
12th July 1987 - A
unique route of 175 Km, with no fewer than seven Dolomite passes to cross;
166 fearless spirits who, with great courage and fair play,
struggled to reach the coveted finishing-line: this was how the fascinating
adventure of the Maratona dles Dolomites began, attracting year after year
an increasing number of fans, to become one of the most important amateur
cyclist events in the whole of Europe. Conceived as part of the tenth
anniversary celebrations of the Alta Badia-Raiffeisen Cycling Club, its
organisers certainly never dreamt that they had created an event which in
such a short period of time would have become one of the most important
annual events in the Alta Badia valley, attracting thousands of fans, many
of whom enthusiastically take part every year. |

The Maratona - SELF-GUIDED July 2nd to July 6th
This 4 star hotel is located near the arrival and about 7km from the start, which means that you will not have to worry about transportation to and from the race.
This package includes the following:
- Guaranteed entry to the Maratona race
- 4 nights in an 4 star hotel in double occupancy (extra fee for single occupancy)
- Breakfasts daily
- Dinners daily
- Bike Jersey
Cost:
$1225.00/person based on double occupancy
$975.00/person for non riders

Registrations:
We are now accepting registrations for our 2009 Trips. All places are on a first come first serve basis. A deposit is required to reserve a spot. If places are still available when we receive your application along with deposit, you will receive notification of your registration. If the trip is sold out, you will be given the option to be placed on a waiting list. Waitlist order is on a first come first serve basis as well.
