The cyclists will get fitted with their bikes and go for a short ride of approximately 25 kms to shake off the dust from travel.

The spectators will also have the chance to shake off the dust from traveling with a visit to the historic part of Bormio full of shops, restaurants and museums.

Tonight we will enjoy a welcome dinner where our guides will explain the plan for the coming week and we will receive a gift from Custom Getaways.

Date Wednesday, May 28 Hotel Location Bormio

Good morning and let’s get going! Today the cyclists in the group will have a big climb up world famous Stelvio Pass. This is one of the most famous climbs in the world. While only 45 kilometers, there will be over a 1,200 meters of elevation gain. The spectators can visit one of many thermal baths in the area. Bormio has the largest number of baths in the Alps. If you’d rather lace up your hiking boots, there are many trailheads in close proximity to our hotel. The views are astounding.

Mid-afternoon the group will walk to a local restaurant for a private viewing of today’s stage. Today’s stage will test the racers as they tackle Mortirolo pass early in the day. Mortirolo is known for its relentless gradient and steep sections. Our private viewing will include food, drinks and TVs for us to follow the race until the racers pass right in front of us in Bormio!

Day 03

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll check-out of the hotel and transfer to the town of Morbegno, the start of today’s stage. We will have the opportunity to walk around the team bus area and see the racers ride to the sign-in stage before they start their 144km ride towards Cesano Maderno.

In the afternoon, the spectators will transfer towards our hotel in Como. Along the way, we will stop for the amazing views and learn why this area is so diverse in its history. The cyclists will do a flatter ride today from the start city to Lecco, near our hotel in Como. A longer distance of 60-70 kms with 680 meters of elevation gain.

We will cap off the evening with a group dinner with local cuisine and stories of the day.

The group will transfer this morning towards the finish of today’s stage in the alpine town of Champoluc. The cyclists will have an early transfer to the start of their ride. We’ll ride approximately 30-40kms with over a 1,200 meters of elevation gain.

The spectators will have extra time this morning to have that second cup of coffee before you and your guide depart towards Champoluc.
